The lecture is held in czech language.

History, production, and applications of TiO2 and related regulations of nanomaterials, REACH requirements, as well as public and regulatory body attitudes. How to measure the size of nanoparticles? How to assess their toxicity? Is it even necessary? Myths and facts about TiO2 under the (electron) microscope.

RNDr. Petr Pikal worked at the Precheza company in various roles ranging from research scientist to research manager. His expertise lies in inorganic pigments, initially focusing on iron-based ones and later on titanium dioxide. He represented Precheza in the Titanium Dioxide Manufacturers Association, particularly in the field of nanoparticles. Currently, he works as an independent consultant.
